Often homeowners put off remodeling their bathroom until there is a needed repair or it becomes outdated. A bathroom remodel allows you to enhance the look and functionality of one of the most used rooms in your home and accommodate the next stage of your life. Still, other benefits include increased resale value, improved usability, and updated features that help you lower your water bill.

How Was The Problem Solved?
Ken Spears Construction began by transforming the oversized bathtub into an inviting, expansive shower with practical amenities. Subway tiles with contrasting dark grout now line the walls, and we included a luxurious seating area that doubles as clever linen storage accessible from the bathroom area. We then improved the shower’s usability by adding a shower bench that not only offered seating in the shower but also allowed for linen storage accessed from the bathroom area.
Subway tiles were used on the shower walls with dark grout. We incorporated an elegant glass enclosure and a black Moen Weymouth overhead showerhead that eliminated the need for a shower door. We installed a custom vanity cabinet topped with classic Carrera white quartz in the space where the shower once stood. We continued the update with a Kohler Memoirs toilet and completed the look by painting the walls in Benjamin Moore’s 2022 Color of the Year October Mist.
Ken Spears Construction renovated this client’s once cramped and dysfunctional bathroom into a luxurious escape. By removing the bulky bathtub and adding storage space and an elegant vanity area, their dreams for improved functionality and preserving the 1930s-era aesthetics became a reality. The result is an inviting room, perfect for relaxation.
