How We Solved The Problem
Ken Spears Construction’s expert design team crafted a comprehensive plan to improve the family’s kitchen’s flow, functionality, and aesthetics. We began by thoroughly assessing their needs and preferences, which allowed us to develop a remodeling plan that provided better efficiency and an updated look. To achieve the desired style, we carefully selected various top-quality materials in collaboration with the clients.
Our team installed maple cabinets in stained chestnut with oil-rubbed bronze hardware, which perfectly complemented the Moen Arbor pull-down faucet. We used a timeless and classic 4 x 12 bone-colored subway tile for the backsplash and chose a Corian solid-surface countertop in Witch Hazel that matched the cabinets and tile perfectly. The durability of the countertop was an added benefit for the family.
We also created more walkway space by removing the peninsula obstructing the kitchen’s flow. For better seating, we installed a 4′ x 8′ island that offers seating on all four sides, moved the microwave to the space over the beverage cabinet, and opened up the area at the main section of the kitchen. The addition of a craftsman-style textured fiberglass door with Schlage Plymouth hardware added an extra touch of elegance to the kitchen’s entrance. To complete the look, we installed maple floors throughout.
